The existance of God?

A recent post on my FaceBook page showed a short video of young Albert Einstein arguing with his teacher about the existence of God and evil. Well as most of you know, I have an opinion on that subject...

Here is more: From prehistoric to historic time, man has created in its mind a God of all sorts that represent events and emotions they do not yet comprehend. In order that they can relate to these Gods, they add human emotions to these Gods. One of these emotions is the battle for supremacy and survival, the battle of an adversary that wants to do you or God harm. From the historical record the Gods of Greek, Roman and Egyptian mythology, as well as the Jewish-Christian-Islamic mythologies all contain the idea of a battle between good and what we now call evil. In the modern religions they are represented by a single God or trinity, for the LDS multiple gods, and Satan. All that is good is God's power and all that is evil is Satan's. But for many the trials and tribulations of life are manifestations of this battle with statements like, "It's God's will," or "God Willing," or "The evil hurricane Katrina was a manifestation of God's anger because of the Godless society America has become." Ronald Reagan and George W Bush interjected this battle of good and evil in their statement of the "Evil Empire" of the Soviet Union and the "Axes of Evil" by W about North Korea and Iran. There by representing that America represents good and the others represent evil.

I find that in today's religions they exploit this battle concept in the same way as ancient societies used it for control and power over the people. Fear is one of the greatest motivator of humans, this is identifiably expressed by Dick Cheney's battle with Barack Obama regarding national defense. Because as a man of Christian faith and the PDSD he suffered from the attacks on 9/11. He has become so fearful that he is willing to void the constitution for security. He sees Islam as the evil force and America, being a Christian nation, as the keeper of all that is good. Never mind the evils we have brought upon our own people and others, such as slavery, encampment of Japanese-Americans, turning away a ship full of Jews during WWII, who later were killing in the concentration camps by the Nazis, and the killing and imprisonment of American Indians and Mexicans during our expansion.

This very day there is an organization, "The Army Of God" that promotes the killing of doctors who perform pregnancy termination services. They are auctioning a book on how to kill doctors and clinic workers, how to bomb and otherwise close woman's health care clinics to raise money to defend the killer of Dr. Tiller in Kansas. Fox News' O'Reilly, Hannity, and Beck all praised the killing of Dr. Tiller. So you can see the mindset they have.

To me there has never been any tangible evidence that a God(s) exists. With that said, I do recognize the limited evidence that there is a possibility that when a human dies, their energy, as with all energy, is released into the universe. What some call the soul, I call the energy of your personality that does not need a physical vessel for it to exist. Therefore some of the phenomenon that typically are attributed to spirits and intervention of God are in fact the individual and collective activity of these personality energy forms. As far as science has determined, all matter and antimatter has some form and level of energy, thus my hypothesis of an afterlife in a different dimension as energy.

This helps explain the cause and effect of meditation and prayer as a means of communicating with the energy forms of loved ones who have left their physical vessel. As man experienced this phenomenon they interjected it into the Gods they created to deal with the unknown. From this we now have modern day religion in all its expressions.

But there is also the battle of supremacy between the three Abraham genesis religions and the different factions therein. These battles have resulted in the death and injury in the hundreds of millions of people. For what??? Who's hocus pocus is the true hocus pocus, when none are true?

People can coexist without religion by acceptance of the common law of collective survival and through self governance by laws. This is known as a civilized society. If we remove the shackles of religion and its bigotry, we can concentrate on the collective good of all people. To much wealth and resources are consumed in these religious battles for humanity that would much better be spent on the health and welfare of humanity.

If a God created man, as two humans create a child, would you think that God would allow his children to kill and maim for him? Would you ask your children to go forth and kill and maim those who do not follow them and their orders, given to them by you? And if they did those things without your approval, would you not use all the power you hold to stop them?

To me good represents all things beneficial to mankind and evil all things that are harmful to mankind. It is not copyrighted by religion and a battle of the Gods...

Tell me different.
