KILL HEALTH CARE OR STOP ABORTIONS!

Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) threatens to kill the health care bill if language is not changed in the bill.

The conservatives in both parties are now fighting over language regarding abortion. It had been generally understood that no federal money would subsidize the procedure, as it has been under the Hyde Act passed decades ago. But if the bill passes, tax dollars will be used to subsidize the purchase of private insurance policies through the cooperatives for those who do not earn enough to pay the entire premium. Most of these private insurance plans cover and surgical centers perform legal abortions. But if tax dollars are used to purchase the premium, is that a subsidy of the procedure or just the policy?

The ultra conservatives are claiming it is a subsidy of the procedure and will kill the health care reform bill unless these insurance companies and facilities stop offering abortions. That in effect will stop nearly 90% of all abortions performed in the USA. A very sneaky way to get around the Supreme Court decision that it is a constitutional protected procedure decided back 30 years ago. Only a handful of completely independent clinics that receive absolutely no insurance or other third party payment would be allowed to perform the procedure in the entire nation. Besides killing the doctors and nurses that perform abortions, they now want to interject what private insurance and employers offer as a covered benefit.

They complain that they do not want government dictating what is covered under health insurance, but they are OK with doing exactly that by demanding these insurance companies drop the coverage of a legal medical procedure. The hypocrisy is so profound. There is absolutely no consistency in their political ideology. It is totally theocracy that is driving their positions, and we know how consistent their "Bible" is, right!

THEIR POLITICAL IDEOLOGY INCLUDES THAT THERE BE NO GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE IN THEIR LIFE AND BELIEFS. HOWEVER, THEY PETITION THE GOVERNMENT TO INTERFERE IN OTHER PEOPLES LIVES AND BELIEFS, TOTALLY CONTRARY TO THEIR POLITICAL IDEOLOGY! ...WHAT THE F...!
