The Utah Republican told the Los Angeles Times that the floor debate is "going to be a holy war."
Hatch is bringing religion into the health care debate. What I find ironic is that most religions, especially Christian, espouse taking care of the weak, sick and disabled. Is that not what the Health Care Reform bill is all about?
What I also find ironic is that the conservative Republican Party has declared themselves as the Party of God, yet their actions are not what their Christ preached about love, compassion, tolerance, forgiveness, and the care and welfare of humanity.
What does Christianity and Conservatism stand for? "I've got mine, you're on your own buddy!"
