I feel fortunate in having parents that encouraged encounters with people of all cultures when we traveled. I remember two young guys who were hiking across America, when that was popular, that Jolene brought to the house. We feed them and talked several hours about their adventure. I learned that everyone has value and their own perspective of their reality. I learned I could not judge others by my small experience and space in the world, life was much larger than me.
It is time to shed the shackles of small minded bigotry and hate and accept all people for whom they are, not what you want them to be.
Tell me stories of meeting people much different than you.
