Walls Street Wins Big & Jefferson County Goes Bankrupt.

Yesterday - Jefferson County, Alabama filed bankruptcy - and became the latest victim of the high crimes on Wall Street. The decision made by Jefferson county to file bankruptcy represents the largest-ever municipal bankruptcy in American history. In a twisted scheme of corruption and financial manipulation - mega banks JP Morgan Chase and Goldman Sachs allegedly paid off elected officials to invest in junk bonds to help finance a new sewer system.

But when the junk investments went bust - so too did Jefferson County - running out of money. Meanwhile - the mega banks were unscathed - making enormous profits off of fees. From ripping off customers with fine print and overdraft charges - to swindling an entire county - it's all in a day's work for the bankers (Bangsters) on Wall Street.

As more of these stories arise, it only confirms my thoughts that the financial sector of this country, and most likely of other countries, are so self serving that the very foundation of our country and its governments are not respected or honored, but just a means of obtaining more wealth at the citizens expense.

When Romney states that "corporations are people too" he is very wrong. People, at least the 98% of us, have a conscience about how we treat other people when we deal with them face to face. However, corporations are faceless and without any conscience, they have no fear of punishment for their wrong deeds, there is only an up side to greater wealth for the humans that are shielded from the faces of devastation that their corporations are causing to the real humans in the country.  This isolation of the wealthy management and owners of these corporations protects them from seeing the sorrow that they have caused.

This is reflected in Romney's behavior when he was acquiring companies, firing the local employees and moving the work overseas. This is not of a person who cares about the labor force of this country or the middle class workers. He only cares about the bottom line and his commission from the transaction. If that was his attitude then, what will it be in the White House, especially if he has a supportive Republican controlled congress (both houses)? Will he flip and do the right thing for the country or will he kiss ass with the Tea Party and doom the nation into further destruction?

A year from know, we will know. Just hold onto you seats and wallet during the ride to the election.
