Throughout recorded history, there has been a common element that has hindered mankind in social and scientific advancement. It took a society that was technologically,socially and politically developing, the Romans, and thrust the western world into darkness for centuries. The technologies being used in Rome, like indoor plumbing, underground sewer systems, evolving democracy, advancement in agriculture, transportation, highways, and even medicine, were obliterated back to horribly primitive ways. We did not see them return until the 18th century when secularism finally took hold and religion was being eliminated out of governance.
Today in America and in Muslim nations, these religions are battling again for domination and control over governance of the people, all in the name of GOD. We cannot survive another millennium or two in a new dark ages. It is time to put religion to rest as a historical period in mankind's evolution to a more peaceful specie. As you read these quotes from religious people, many who are in positions of power and governance, you will soon realize how mentally ill they are by the stupidity of their reasoning. They are a major threat to mankind's survival. They are filled with hate and fear, not of love and compassion.
